G.R.P DEPARTMENT COUNSIF Trading & Contracting was established in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are a manufacturing specialist of a wide variety of GRP (Fiber glass Moldings). We have a wealth of experience in GRP manufacturing a wide range of products from one off specials to production runs, offering a high quality and competitively priced product. We design, manufacture and install a wide variety of architectural moldings for use in the construction industry and have worked alongside some of the top architects and construction companies to complete various contracts some of which are displayed on our products pages. WHAT IS GRP (FRP) It is a composite of a resilient durable resin with an immensely strong fibrous glass. The resin is the main component and is normally a polyester resin. It is supplied in the form of a viscous syrup, which when suitably activated sets to a hard solid, so polyester resin may be reinforced with glass fibers to form GRP. Using a single surface mould or form on which applies layers of glass mat with liquid resin until we built up the required thickness, so forming a laminate or moulding. After removal of this product from the mould we can make many more in the same way. Fiber reinforced concrete is being increasingly used in such civil engineering structures as bridges, pavements, pipes, walls, shell roofs, offshore platforms, submerged storage tanks, etc. The high cement and low aggregate content also result in higher moisture resistance than concrete although thermal heat transfers similar. Glass fiber reinforced concrete(GRC) is a combination of specially developed alkali resistant (AR) glass fibers and cement sand mortar. The resultant composite is a concrete-like material combining the compressive properties of cement mortars with the valuable flexural and tensile strength of glass fibers. It is in many ways similar to concrete but its higher cement content and lower permeability make it more resistant to moisture penetration, atmospheric attack or sand erosion. The high cement and low aggregate content also result in higher moisture resistance than concrete although thermal heat transfer is similar. GRC can be produced by several different techniques, ranging from simple manual processes to sophisticated mechanized systems. Over a decade after its inception, GRC can be found in a wide range of application areas. The civil engineering, architectural and agricultural sectors all benefit from the inherent properties of GRC. As a construction material CRC has several characteristics, which make it particularly attractive to the architect.
